Insulation Type
Room-in-Roof Insulation
Insulate converted loft spaces and dormer rooms to prevent significant heat loss — fully funded through government grant schemes.
What Is Room-in-Roof Insulation?
Room-in-roof insulation is designed for homes where the loft has been converted into a living space — such as a bedroom, office, or playroom. Because the roof is the room's ceiling, standard loft insulation cannot be used. Instead, insulation is fitted between and over the rafters, along the sloped ceiling, and in the knee walls and floor of the eaves.
Without proper insulation, rooms in the roof lose heat rapidly through the roof structure, making them uncomfortably hot in summer and cold in winter. Correctly insulating these spaces can transform their comfort and significantly reduce energy waste.
