Low-Carbon Heating
Heat Pump Installation
Efficient, low-carbon heating for your home — with up to £7,500 towards installation through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme.
Why Choose a Heat Pump?
Heat pumps are one of the most efficient ways to heat your home, delivering up to 3 units of heat for every 1 unit of electricity used. They produce zero direct emissions, making them a key part of the UK's plan to reach net zero.
With the Boiler Upgrade Scheme offering grants of up to £7,500, switching from a gas or oil boiler to a heat pump has never been more affordable. Combined with good insulation, a heat pump can dramatically reduce your energy bills and carbon footprint.

Benefits of Heat Pumps
Heat pumps offer a range of advantages over traditional heating systems — from lower running costs to a significantly smaller carbon footprint.
When paired with solar panels and good insulation, a heat pump can make your home almost entirely self-sufficient for heating.
Types of Heat Pumps
There are several heat pump technologies available, each suited to different properties and circumstances.

Air Source Heat Pumps
The most popular option for UK homes. Extracts heat from outdoor air and converts it into heating and hot water. Eligible for up to £7,500 through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme.

Ground Source Heat Pumps
Uses underground pipes to extract heat from the ground. Highly efficient but requires outdoor space for ground loops. Also eligible for up to £7,500 through BUS.

Hybrid Heat Pumps
Combines a heat pump with your existing boiler for maximum flexibility. The system automatically switches between the two depending on which is most efficient.
