Energy Efficiency
Home Insulation
Keep your home warmer, cut your energy bills, and reduce your carbon footprint with free insulation funded through government grants.
Why Insulate Your Home?
A poorly insulated home loses heat rapidly through walls, roofs, and floors — forcing you to use more energy to stay warm and driving up your bills. Insulation is the single most effective way to improve your home's energy efficiency.
Through government schemes like ECO4 and the Great British Insulation Scheme, thousands of UK households are having insulation installed at no cost. Whether your home needs loft, wall, or underfloor insulation, there is likely a grant that can help.

Benefits of Insulation
Insulation is one of the most impactful home improvements you can make — and with government grants, it doesn't have to cost you a penny.
From lower energy bills to a more comfortable living environment, the benefits start from the day the work is completed.
Types of Insulation
Different properties need different insulation solutions. Here are the main types available through government grants.

Loft Insulation
Up to 25% of heat is lost through an uninsulated roof. Loft insulation is one of the simplest and most cost-effective ways to reduce energy waste.

Cavity Wall Insulation
Around 35% of heat escapes through uninsulated walls. Cavity wall insulation fills the gap between inner and outer walls to keep warmth in.

External Wall Insulation
Ideal for solid-wall properties without a cavity. A layer of insulation is fixed to the outside of the building, then finished with render or cladding.

Internal Wall Insulation
An alternative for solid-wall homes where external insulation isn't suitable. Insulation boards are fitted to the inside of exterior walls.

Underfloor Insulation
Prevents heat loss through ground floors, particularly in older properties with suspended timber floors or uninsulated solid floors.

Room-in-Roof Insulation
Insulates converted loft spaces and dormer rooms to prevent significant heat loss through the roof structure.
